Saugerties Pollinator Garden:
The Saugerties Village Tree Commission’s Exciting New Project!

PicturePollinator Pathway and Monarch Watch
The Saugerties Village Tree Commission (SVTC) has been given the opportunity to turn an empty lot in the center of the Village into a vibrant green space. This lot, formerly a bus stop, will be transformed into a ‘butterfly stop’ filled with plants that feed and attract pollinators and butterflies.

The garden will be registered as part of Pollinator Pathway and Monarch Watch's Monarch Waystation Program, national networks of small and large gardens that support and protect pollinators and butterflies as they migrate.

The importance of supporting pollinators cannot be overestimated. Due to climate change and natural habitat destruction, pollinators are struggling. Our garden will help support them as we enjoy a beautiful spot to enjoy nature in the heart of the Village.
